Portrayal
Although my work appears painterly, it is created entirely of fabrics & threads cut into shapes, layered and affixed onto a canvas in one to twenty layers. Different designs and weaves of thin silks and thicker cotton materials create luminous colors very different from a painting.

I never tire of standing back from my easel, staring at the canvas until nothing interrupts my eye, and an aura of energy flows within and around the subject, giving it a life of its own.
That is when I know my work is complete.
